The Wetaskiwin Health Foundation enhances patient care at the Wetaskiwin Hospital & Care Centre by funding innovative programs and equipment priorities ensuring outstanding healthcare for our communities.

The Wetaskiwin Health Foundation announced a two-phase capital campaign on September 27, 2017. This project brings great value to our hospital, but with that it takes great involvement from our community.

300K out of 1.26M  has been raised for

the current campaign to date!

Did you know?

On average the Wetaskiwin Hospital & Care Centre's Emergency Department sees 70 patients per day. 

 

There are 2 Phases of the campaign, and we are happy to announce that phase 1 is complete!

 

Phase 2 is a 1.2 million dollar campaign and is anticipated to run until March 2021. This phase will focus on upgrades to the laboratory and the emergency department. Some of the key upgrades include:

  • Relocate and renovate the laboratory to increase patient privacy and patient care

  • Add two collection rooms to the laboratory

  • Add a washroom designated for lab collection

  • Add overhead columns to the two trauma rooms

Did you know? 

Over 100 outpatients visit the Laboratory each week day and over 4000 collections happen each month.
